Join us as we watch this wonderful video starring the late Joy MIlls and the late John Algeo as they discuss what is, to them, the Essence of Theosophy. This video was taped in 1980, but is well worth watching. The video runs about 25-minutes and we will have a group discussion immediately following the viewing.

Joy Mills (October 9, 1920 - December 29, 2015) was an educator who served as President of the Theosophical Society in America from 1965–1974, and then as international Vice President for the Theosophical Society based in Adyar, Chennai, India from 1974-1980. She was a very popular international lecturer, and was awarded the Subba Row Medal in 2011 for her contributions to Theosophical literature.

John Algeo (November 12, 1930 - October 13, 2019) was an American professor who was President of the Theosophical Society in America from 1993–2002, and then served as Vice President of the international Theosophical Society in Adyar, Chennai, India until 2008. He had a distinguished academic career at the University of Georgia as a professor of English language and linguistics, and then was Professor Emeritus. In 2014, Dr. Algeo was awarded the Subba Row Medal for his significant contributions to Theosophical literature.
