Annie Besant (1847–1933) was a prominent British socialist, women's rights activist, and leading figure of the Theosophical Society. After transitioning from a staunch atheist to a devoted Theosophist under the guidance of Madame Blavatsky in 1889, she became the organization's international president in 1907 and championed its teachings globally.  Deb Lee will take us through some of the important aspects of Besant's life .
